*** Party Planning in 8 Easy Steps ***
Be sure to set the party day, date, time & place before you begin planning & fill out the Key Dates on the front of the Host Planning Guide. On the back of the planning guide, there's a reminder of the eight steps to follow when planning a party. Go over these 8 eight steps with your host.

1. Host Selects Her FREE Gift.
All Tupperware Hosts receive gifts based on the amount of sales & datings collected at their parties. The specific gift a Host would like to receive is called a "Gift Goal". When your Host has a specific gift in mind, she will be much more willing to work to make the party successful to reach her gift goal. Always encourage your host to select a gift goal which includes 2-3 datings. This will increase the gift value & will ensure the continued growth of your business.

2. Make a Guest List.
A guest list consists of the people the host intends to invite to the party. Creating a Guest List helps the host overcome the common concern of not knowing enough people to invite to her party. Work with your Host to create a large Guest List by prompting her with ideas on people to invite: mother, sisters, brothers, mother in law, cousins, friends, co-workers, neighbors, mothers of her children's friends, additional relatives, church friends etc. Encourage the Host to invite 20-25 guests if she would like to have 10-12 guests, its unlikely they will all be able to attend her party.

3. Have Host Start Inviting.
To ensure a good turnout, ask the host to personally & enthusiastically invite each person. Then, when she finds guests who cant attend, she can invite them to date their own party or to place an outside non-attendance order. Also, encourage the Host to tell her guests to bring a friend to the party!

4. Host Shares Catalogs with her friends.
Those who cannot attend the party should be encouraged to place orders. These are added to the Hosts sales total which mean greater gift selections for her.

5. Host Collects Advance Order Details.
The host can collect advance orders (also known as outside orders) & payments before the party begins from people or guests who can not attend her party. This helps to build her party sales, bringing her closer to her gift goal. She will need their names & addresses along with item #, description, price for every item ordered.

6. Host Confirms With Guests.
Instruct the Host to call her guests to confirm their attendance at the party approx. 2-3 days before the party date.

7. Keep Refreshments Simple.
Recommend serving refreshments near the display so you can stay close by to answer any questions after the party. Offer your Tupperware Products to use as serving pieces (if you are doing just a basic demo home party, obviously if you are doing a Taste of Tupperware (tm) party your party format will be a little different).

8. Host Encourages Friends to Host a Party.
Prior to the party, encourage the Host to ask a couple of friends if they would be interested in receiving host gifts & other benefits by dating a party! Dont forget to drop info thru out the party about the benefits of dating & hostessing a party to all of the party guests!

Dont forget about recruiting! When you & your host have finished the 8 steps above, take a minute to plant a recruiting seed with her! "Did you know, Jane Doe, that you can start your Tupperware Career with this party?"

Tips On Writing a Effective Recruiting Ad Here are some of my tips for writing an EFFECTIVE Recruiting Ad!

#1) I state my Company NAME Several Times in my Ad. (I know this isnt possible for some company reps which is a shame because COMPANY NAME in your ad is Extremely important!)

#2) I LIST ALL Start up Costs Involved! I dont have my reader guessing at it and then they have to turn around & email me for it...NOPE, its clearly stated in my Recruiting Ad!

#3) Quotas...if your company has quotas, it should BE LISTED in your Ad! Readers who find out after they are already talking to you alot of times feel mislead!

#4) CLEAR UNDERSTANDABLE ENGLISH. I do NOT use business slang terms, abbreviations for business terms etc. What do I mean? WOE in the tupperware world means Web Order Entry, well new potential recruits have NO idea what that is so spell it out!

#5) Do NOT over hype your oppty. Why? A---It can scare people off into thinking its a SCAM or too good to be true and they MOVE on. B-----If they fail at the oppty, they will turn around and BLAME YOU....saying you said you could make XYZ in a certain amount of time & so forth! ALWAYS STATE reasonable commissions about the oppty!

#6) ONGOING Costs! I like to let NEW potential recruits know about any ongoing charges with the oppty if there are any.

#7) Ad LENGTH: Too often these days I see tons of 3 sentence ONLINE ads that say 2 sentences about the oppty and the third sentence says contact me for more info! That is a HORRIBLE AD! Your ad needs to provide the reader with concise info about the oppty you are advertising, in the SAME respect, dont make it too long where they LOSE interest. They want to read an AD, not a book!

#8) PROOF READ YOUR AD or have someone else do it! Typos & Mistakes LOOK unprofessional!

#9) KNOW the oppty INSIDE & OUT! Nothing LOOKS more unprofessional then when they start asking you questions and YOU dont know the answer! I feel if you are going to be recruiting you should KNOW your company WELL and KNOW the oppty well! I once had a girl that was 32 hours old in her company TRY to recruit me into it! That was a BIG BIG turn off for me! I am not saying you have to be there for years...what I am saying is you should KNOW everything there is to KNOW about that oppty before recruiting others into it!

#10) Dont overload your Recruiting Ad with Graphics! Alot of older computers can not handle dozens of graphics!

#11) When I make changes to my Ads, I like to get a few friends to look over it for me. Alot of times they will give you GREAT advice on changes that should be made that you didnt think of!

#12) When you decide to recruit, You need to realize that you will have to set aside TIME to help train any new recruits you get. Its NOT right to go on a recruiting BLITZ and then dump them all onto your Upline Manager. Its your responsibility to take time out to HELP train your recruits and do so effectively. ALL of this takes TIME & Patience, if you are NOT going to be dedicated with your time, you shouldn't recruit!
