Pizza Places or other restaurants are
great places to have multi partiesIf you
have ever thought of having more then 1
party in the same evening this may be
what your looking for.
Basic guidelines for a Pizza Party.
1st find a place to have
them.
* Contact a local Pizza Rest. And talk
to the manager. I prefer meeting them in
person 1 on 1.
* Explain to them you’re a party plan
consultant ( or other Business person)
and would like to have a party in
their restaurant. If they are hesitating
explain to them it means customers and
so many pizza’s per table [or guests]
will be purchased. * The Pizza Place I
use offers me Tuesday evenings and Min
of 1 large pizza per table of 8 guests.
* Work out the best night or nights that
will be available for parties for both
of you. And offer to give them a weeks
notice before each party.
* For the parties ask for a section of
tables all together to be sectioned off
for the evening. Remember if you have a
display kit to set up you will need a
small table for that. Side tables are
usually smaller and have the added bonus
of 1 side against the wall. I have even
asked and gotten my smaller display
table near an outlet for products that
light up but it took a few parties
before I asked for this. If the manager
is willing and friendly ask for it right
away if you could use one.
* Work out a menu. Pizza and soda is the
norm. If guests want salads let the
restaurant know you are not paying for
it. Thankfully, while not common a guest
may try to order a salad and tell them
you as the consultant said you would pay
for it later. If this is something you
are not willing to do tell them “no
tabs“, no orders on your behalf and
you will be doing the ordering as you
are paying for it. Guest orders are paid
for by guests.
* Offering to hand out their Rest.
flyers or place them on the tables is a
way to thank them.
* At the beginning of each party ,when
you do your intro say a few words about
the place. Most managers if there and
other employees will be listening
especially at the 1st few you
do. Naming the manager and thanking them
doesn’t hurt and most managers will
appreciate it allot.
Saying the name of the person who is
serving the Pizza’s can make a
difference too. Saying something as
simple as “Sally is our pizza lady for
the evening” and have Sally wave.
These are simple things that take less
then a minute but yet you have taken the
time to show the restaurant and
employees that you are grateful and
care! Simple acts of acknowledgment go a
long way.
* Arrive before the party to make
sure you get the section of tables you
need. Each table should have a Hostess
name on it. Your Hostess should have
given you the approx amount of guests.
You can do Hostess cards easily on a 1/2
piece of stock card paper. You will want
the Hostesses to all be seated at the
front of their table near you.
* Ask the Hostess to arrive 10 minutes
early.
* Parties usually last no more then 2 -
2 1/2 hours. Which means you should be
in and out within 3 hours.
* At the end of the evening and even
during the party when not busy such as
times when guests are placing orders
feel free to take a empty pizza tray up
to the counter for them. I usually have
a helper with me at Pizza parties and 1
of us does this.
* Before you leave the restaurant thank
them!
2nd Finding the
Hostesses
At your regular parties have a flyer
offering this as a party option and list
the benefits. Hand it out with the order
forms and special offers or place in
front of guests to see.
Have a calendar with dates marked open
for Pizza Hostess. Printing a calendar
with the month on it and have it marked
off with open dates, available pizza
party dates and place and X on closed
dates and leave it out in the open
during the party. You can have your own
personnel calendar book later to place
the bookings in but having this paper
one out and viewable shows them open
party dates for their bookings and they
can talk about the dates during the
evening instead of just at the end. The
on closed dates can be your days off or
other parties X means not available
dates.
If someone is interested explain the
extra’s of a pizza party. Often a
consultant will do a raffle, special
game or door prize or mini auction at
Pizza parties to help offset the cost of
the pizza.
Do a Pizza Party Hostess flyer to go
along with the hostess coaching. You can
explain you are buying the pizza and
they as the hostess pay for the soda’s.
If guests want salads they, the guests
may do so at their own cost.
Pizza parties tend to be less formal
then the traditional in home party but
decide if guests can bring children or
not. Remember that guests who bring kids
mean kids eating pizza and this could
add up your costs and children do not
place orders. And can even take away
moms attention from your presentation.
We all like children but 1 guest with a
tired child not only leaves early if the
child is crying or grouchy the people
that came with her leave too and the
whole group can be effected by a tired
child making sales and even games
harder.
2- 3 Hostesses are workable. More then 3
you may need help or go into together
with another consultant and each have 2
hostesses. If you have 2 Hostesses even
if they came from the same 1st
party they usually still have different
guest lists. Rarely do 2 friends have
the same group of friends, neighbors and
family to invite.
Do special flyers for the Pizza
Party! Ask the Hostess for the guest
list and mail them tri folded so it is
still 1 stamp. If you will be offering a
drawing attach a ticket to the flyer
with tape. Be sure not to staple as the
post office will not appreciate staples
in the mail. Also adding a small map to
the flyer is helpful and can mean no
late arrivals due to being lost.
Do the same Hostess Coaching as you do
for reg. Parties and call the hostess
and remind her to call her friends a day
or 2 before and be excited.
If you have a cell phone be sure your
hostess know the number. Her guests
should know her cell phone number but if
you are comfortable giving your out do
so.
On the invitation flyers offer the
guests a drawing for the event. With
tickets for RSVP, for them inviting and
bringing a friend when they RSVP, for
being on time, for having an order from
a friend or co- worker who could not
come that may not even know the hostess
and other offers you can think of.
When talking to the hostess or
potential hostess remind them of the
pluses of the Pizza Party!
* They will not have to clean their
house for the party.
* Hubby can stay him and not run out
of the living room into the bedroom with
the children.
* No need to buy and make desserts or
other goodies. The soda is usually allot
less then their desserts and soda or tea
they would need to buy and make.
* No mess afterwards to clean up.
* Extra games are offered.
* Will you be offering cash and go
gifts for party? Having a few of the
popular items for sale wrapped in.
Colorful netting with a bow or ribbon
can be easily done. Plus you can
re-order/ replace these by ordering from
the hostess if it effects her sales and
she will not loose any free merchandise
due to this this way.
