Are you advertising ready?

#1 - A good text phrase. Along with your business name a text phrase is a brief 1 or 2 sentence. Having 2 is beneficial to you written a little different from each other.
#2 You'll need buttons and banners. 120x60 banners are often called buttons. You'll find 125x125 and 468x60 the most common sizes people will accept for advertising on their mom websites along with the 120x60 button.

So be advertising mom ready by having all of them!
The 1 or 2 text lines and the 3 different banners.

TEXT ADS
Your text ads are often the same as the ones you will use when you do free text link exchanges with other websites Along with your business name often you'll be able to give a short description about your website so choosing 1 or 2 lines carefully can help make for a great text phrase. Some WAHM'S have 2 or more for their advertising needs.
Some websites, both for advertising and link exchanges only allow so many characters for text ads and exchanges.
Not sure what to put in your text? The best way to to get ideas is to look around on other websites and businesses and look at their links pages and other websites text links. While you NEVER want to copy anyone's text getting ideas from them can help you create your own unique advertising mom text!

BUTTONS AND BANNERS
If you able to make your own great! But if not there are some great women and moms online who can do them for you and most are very affordable.
Having the 3 banners in different sizes, which I feel we all should, should be pretty easy and within your budget to do.
Again the most common sizes are the buttons at 120x60 then banners 125x125 and 468x60.

They can be static or animated. Static ones are smaller in byte size but an animated one need not be large in bytes to be a good one. Some websites will not take banners over a certain number of bytes. Just make sure before you buy advertising that your banner is within the websites sizes and bytes.

We recommend you place all of your banners ( and buttons) on your websites link page at the bottom. This makes it easy for people to exchange banner links with you since it is there and you won't have to email it to them. Plus allot of times when your at a website on their WAHM advertising form it will ask you for the link- URL to your banner.

Having them on a page in your website means you can easily send them the URL or
put it in the box on form.

If your not sure how to send your banner just go to the page it is on and
in IE right click on properties and look at the address in the properties box.
I mainly use Netscape and there you can just right click it and " view image" and it will show the banner on a new page. The URL is in the location bar. That is the URL you would send for your banner URL. If you need help ask your webmaster or host or the site your going to advertise with. Most WAHM's are more then happy to help!
